PE Compass Is Moving!

A big thank you to everyone who followed PE Compass over the years- your attention, comments, and occasional corrections have been much appreciated.

The blog is now moving to Substack, where it will continue under a new name: Balentic Edge.

Why the rebrand? The scope is expanding to cover the full spectrum of Private Markets, not just Private Equity. That means you’ll now find insights across Venture, PE, Private Debt, Infra, Real Assets, and more. Of course, asset class-specific pieces will still be part of the mix - so don’t worry, your regularly scheduled deep dives haven’t disappeared.

The Substack platform also hosts my newsletters and podcasts, so it’s a one-stop shop for everything (and hopefully improve the experience for you.

You’ll find all the old PE Compass posts there (some are still being imported), along with new content that lives exclusively on Substack - including a fresh post on NAV loans, and a podcast with Thomas Friedberger of Tikehau discussing their Aerospace & Defence strategy.

As part of the move, I’ve imported subscribers from this blog as contacts on Substack. I hope that’s okay - unsubscribe any time, no hard feelings. But I do hope you’ll come along for the ride.
